My fondest memories of my uncle started in my adolescent years. The first memories of him and his old Buick and that milk crate of 8 tracks and Rick James. He could always bring a smile or laughter to any situation and knew how to brighten any occasion. During my divorce I spoke to him constantly. He readily gave his opinion and even offered me a job to help me get back on my feet. I Love him and miss him dearly. Uncle Wilbert you will forever live on our hearts and memories.

My Dear Cousins Birdie and Susie and the entire Thomas Family:

It is with great shock and surprise that I learned just today of the passing of Cousin Johnny.  Please accept my deepest sympathy and I will continue to pray for all of you.

Several months ago I spent over two hours on the telephone talking to Cousin Johnny and recording his life story for our museum archives at the Willow Hill Heritage and Renaissance Center in Portal.  It was an evening of remembrance and much laughter as we looked back over our lives and talk about our farm days, school, church and all the people who influenced our lives.  He had such a great love for his family and especially his mother, Cousin Susie.  He gave me some of his faint memories of his father Elder Thommy Thomas and and the rest of the family. Cousin Johnny memories will be preserved for future generations in our archives.  May he rest in peace!
